Probably the only downfall to the OUYA user experience that we’ve found to date is the fact that during the initial setup it seems to require the owner to enter either their credit card information or an OUYA prepaid voucher code. We’ve been trying to figure out a way around it, and there isn’t really one, except for a simple loophole that we came across in the system that can easily be used. Whether you don’t have a credit card, or simply want to ensure that your complete privacy is maintained, just keep reading and you’ll have your OUYA connected and running without needing to enter any payment or credit card details.
HOW-TO BYPASS THE OUYA SETUP PAYMENT OPTION REQUIRED SCREEN
- OUYA Gaming Console (Already Connected)
Instructions: When prompted, use one of the following test credit card numbers which aren’t real credit cards, but are actually meant for testing payment processing for merchants. You can enter any cardholder’s name, expiry date, and verification code that you wish afterwards.
Congratulations! By now you should be one step closer to fully enjoying your incredibly powerful and useful OUYA gaming console, powered by the Android operating system of course. You’ll probably want to go ahead and Install XBMC for OUYA at this point. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask in our Discussion Forums at anytime.
